Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) / Food Stamps 

Eligibility is based on monthly income and household size.

Second Harvest Heartland is working hard to register those eligible for SNAP to ensure that everyone who needs these benefits, which will be especially important during this time, can access them. To find out if you are eligible for SNAP benefits you can contact an outreach specialist, Rahsa Bale by email.


  • Catholic Charities continues to meet the needs of those 60 and older through their meal delivery system (meals on wheels).
  • Catholic Charities is offering 10 meals per person twice a month, exceptions can be made on a case by case basis.
  • Individuals 60 and older wanting to participate should register by calling the Chisago County Senior Center at 651-674-1956.

North Branch Area Public Schools

FREE food for all students 18 and younger will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. and between 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Chisago Lakes School District, ISD #2144

Breakfast and lunch meals are available with delivery options upon request. This is available for all K-12 students, Mondays 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Rush City School District #139

Breakfast and lunch meals are available with delivery options upon request. All meals are picked up at the back of the Elementary school on Monday’s between 10:45 a.m. - 11:15 a.m.

Wyoming Elementary

Grab and go meals are available from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Weekly food packs are also available to low-income families upon request which are available for pick up at the grab and go meal sites.
